intonations

From 25 to 30 April 2020, the chamber music festival „intonations“ will once again be a guest of the Jewish Museum Berlin. For the ninth time, Elena Bashkirova’s smaller version of the Jerusalem Chamber Music Festival will take place here.  The pianist founded the festival in Jerusalem 22 years ago, and many of her artist friends gladly accept her invitation and thus build a bridge between Jerusalem and Berlin. As before, “intonations” in the Jewish Museum is the only chamber music festival in Berlin.

Every year it is noticeable that an audience has come here that is looking forward to the next year. It is not only the genre that attracts the audience, it is the programme that juggles between the familiar and the rare. And Elena Bashkirova always places young talents next to experienced musicians – a musically and interpersonal invigorating mixture that is communicated directly from the stage. This year, baritone Georg Nigl, Juliane Banse, Elisabeth Leonskaja and Alisa Weilerstein are among the guests at the festival.

The advance sale for “intonations” starts on 20 February 2020.
